The Gruffalo-Readers Theatre
Have a listen to our first attempt at Readers Theatre. We have been practising all week, learning the words and remembering to listen to others so we know when it is our turn.
This story is by Julia Donaldson.

Reading smoothly
Today for reading we were practising reading with a smooth talking voice. We got to pick any poem we liked and then recorded our voices using the app 'Show me'. Have a listen to our work.

Toys from Mayotte
Today we learnt about a little country called Mayotte. It is tucked in between Madagascar and Mozambique. Arthur's mum and dad lived and worked there for 3 years.
The children do not have toys like us, they make their toys out of things we would throw out.
Here is a picture of a toy car made from an old oil can.

Guest Teacher
Today we had a new teacher read us a story, Miss Lopez! She read us one of her favourite fairy tales books called "Fairy Godmother". It had all of our favourite fairy tales in it but with twists.
She did a great job reading clearly to the class and answering our questions.
